Hello, world.

I'm Jack Edelist.

More About Me
About Me

Let me introduce myself.

Profile Picture

I'm a recent graduate student-athlete at Boston University, where I studied computer engineering with a concentration in machine learning, played for the Men's Rugby Team, played lead guitar for the Pep Band, and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Before graduating, I co-founded Roomform, an AI-powered tech startup that serves as a marketplace, AI agent, and editor for designing spaces. I'm also a professional DJ at nightclubs in Boston and a resident at Big Night, New England's largest hospitality, nightlife, and entertainment company. Based in Boston, I co-founded Sonder Ground, an entertainment company that specializes in planning events around dance music and unique venues.

During my years at BU, I worked as an undergraduate intern for the Bio Optical & Acoustic Spectroscopy (BOAS) Lab, where I manufactured NinjaNIRS2021 wearable helmet device optodes using Functional Near Infrared Resonance Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and designed, trained, and tested a ConvLSTM neural network architecture to detect stalls in brain capillaries.

In Summer 2023, I interned as a software engineer for General Motors in Pontiac, MI, working on their hydrogen fuel cell technology – HydroTec. Throughout my career, I've loved working with children, teaching them guitar and coaching them in hockey.

For fun, I love sports – hockey, football, rugby, snowboarding – playing guitar, and DJing/organizing EDM shows. Please feel free to reach out to discuss anything from projects to hobbies!

Interests

I am interested in AI/ML in new applications; more specifically, my interests lie in deep learning and quantum mechanics.
